The Enterprise Public Library held a career expo for the younger patrons of the library on July 23.
“The Career Expo was designed to give the youth a first-hand account of careers and jobs they may be interested in pursuing,” said EPL Director Shelia Harris. “EPL's Children's Librarian, Chrissy Crump, and staff invited local professionals to come out, answer questions and engage with the attendees. The youth were able to ascertain the required skills and education needed to succeed in various fields.”
Some of the fields included nursing, real estate, journalism, acting, aviation, college and business marketing.
Harris said the library was happy with the turn out of the event. She said the library and its events held at the library strive to provide all patrons, no matter how young, with the resources they need.
“We always hope for a great turn out but we are more interested in patrons utilizing EPL as a valuable resource,” Harris said.
