A Decatur, Ga., man was arrested after an armed robbery call led to a pursuit, according to a release from Enterprise Police Department Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund.
On Oct. 21 at 1:22 p.m., the Enterprise Police Department responded to an armed robbery call at the Marathon gas station located at 2171 Rocky Head Road in Enterprise, according to the release.
Employees told officers that an armed individual wearing a mask entered the store and demanded money.
The suspect fled the scene in a gray Volkswagen Jetta after taking the money.
A pursuit was initiated a short time later when an EPD officer saw the vehicle traveling on Boll Weevil Circle.
The pursuit ended when the suspect crashed into other vehicles at the intersection of Boll Weevil Circle and Park Avenue.
Cameron Zion Nealey, 20, was taken into custody without further incident and charged with first degree robbery, reckless endangerment and attempting to allude. Nealey was taken to the Coffee County Jail after his arrest.
EPD thanked the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the Alabama State Troopers for their assistance in the pursuit.
