The Wiregrass Wounded Veterans Committee honored Billy Cotter and Cotter Construction for its help constructing the Wiregrass Wounded Warrior Warrior Retreat by the Lake cabin on Lake Tholocco on Fort Rucker.

The cabin is fully American with Disabilities Act compliant and serves a place where wounded veterans can stay with their families free of charge.

The cabin was officially donated to Fort Rucker in 2018 and now the WWVC are fund raising to build a handicap accessible dock at the lake near the cabin.
