Alabama State Coordinator for the Quilts of Valor Foundation Jacquelyn Rae McKinstry presented Billy Cotter with a Quilt of Valor honoring him for his time serving in the Vietnam War.

McKinstry said that she originally put a quilt away when construction on the Wounded Warrior Retreat by the Lake cabin started construction, but that she swapped it out for a new one.

This new one was quilted on the City of Enterprise’s Day of Service and has blocks from all different organizations around the area quilted together.

The mission of the Quilts of Valor is “to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor.”
