The Coffee County Board of Education approved a budget amendment at its regularly scheduled meeting on May 23.
Coffee County Schools Chief Financial Officer Shannon Odom said the budget amendments related to carry-over funds from the 2018 Fiscal Year.
The new funds are $13,002.30 for special education IDEA; $7,825.57 for special education preschool; $84,193.32 for Title I; $10,545.02 for Title I N&D; $17,140.20 for Title II and $15, 102.26 for Title IV Part B 21st Century.
The total expected revenues for the FY 2019 year are now $22,330,228.79, up from $21,855,124.64. Expenditures have also risen from $22,291,702.76 to $22,772,986.91.
In other business, the school board unanimously voted to conduct summer school and employ summer workers.
The next Coffee County Board of Education meeting will be June 6 at 5:30 p.m. at the office in Elba. The meeting is open to the public.
