The release states that on Aug. 15, several NBHS students became ill with symptoms of headaches, nausea and dizziness.

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and Coffee County EMA will be assisting the system in its investigation, according to the release.

Both New Brockton High School and New Brockton Elementary were closed on Aug. 16 as a precaution, according to the release.

“The health and safety of our students is of the utmost importance," Killingsworth said in the release. "We will provide additional information as it becomes available.”
