Between 325-340 dual enrollment students filled the multipurpose room at Enterprise State Community College on Aug. 6 for orientation.
This is the largest dual enrollment orientation for the college.
“This year's orientation was larger than last year even though we had a big crowd last year,” said ESCC Instructional Resources and Community Education Director Ann Kelley. “We've had great success with our dual enrollment program and its growth.”
The orientation took students through the basics of being a dual enrollment student as well as allowed them to prepare for the upcoming school year by setting up emails, picking up schedules and purchasing car decals.
Kelley said that the school is happy to offer these classes and attributed the growth of the dual enrollment classes to the oppurtinities it provides.
“We're very proud to be able to provide this wonderful opportunity to our high school students in our community,” Kelley said. “The expanded opportunities and popularity of the dual enrollment program have helped to increase enrollment.”
She said seeing the large crowd made her ready for the 2019-2020 school year.
