EPD warns residents to lock cars

The Enterprise Police Department is warning residents to lock their vehicles and not leave valuables in the car after a series of vehicle burglaries, according to a press release from EPD Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund.

The burglaries occurred on Aug. 9 between midnight and 5 a.m. in the Cotton Creek neighborhood and in the area of Springdale Drive, according to the release.

Victims have reported stolen portable electronics and firearms from the burglaries, according to the release.

The release states that vehicles were unlocked, which is how the suspect(s) got in them.

The EPD is currently investigating these burglaries and asks that anyone with additional information regarding the burglaries to contact EPD at (334) 347-2222 or leave a tip at www.enterprisepd.com.
