CCSO investigating alleged home invasion

The Coffee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an alleged home invasion with weapons, according to CCSO Chief Deputy Ronnie Whitworth.

Whitworth said the incident occurred on July 25 in the 27000 block of Al-87.

The CCSO issued a BOLO for a red Chevrolet truck with an Alabama license plate on the same day. The suspects were dressed as painters and were reportedly driving the vehicle, according to Whitworth.

He said that investigations later revealed that the suspects and the victims were acquaintances.

The CCSO believes the alleged crime took place due to a dispute between the parties, according to Whitworth.

The investigation is currently ongoing.
