One injured in early morning shooting

The Enterprise Police Department is investigating a shooting in the early morning of Aug. 21, which left one person injured, according to a press release from EPD Public Information Officer Lt. Billy Haglund.

At 3 a.m. on Aug. 21, the department responded to a shooting in the 1600 Block of Shellfield Road, according to the release.

A preliminary investigation revealed that an unknown person fired a single gunshot from a vehicle, which struck the victim in the arm, according to the release.

The victim was treated and released from the hospital, and the suspect was possibly driving a white pickup truck, according to the release.

This is an active investigation and no further information will be released at this time.
