Negron wins DoDEA Artist Spotlight

Jancarlos Negron, a sixth grader at Fort Rucker Elementary School, is the winner of the DoDEA Artist Spotlight. The DoDEA Artist Spotlight is a monthly artwork challenge that is open to all DoDEA students stateside, in the Pacific and Europe. The contest is held on the DoDEA Facebook page and individuals from around the globe vote on the artistic piece they “Like” the most. Students can submit any work of art to include photographs, digital artwork, 2D and 3D artwork. Jancarlos submitted a 2D art piece entitled Ninja Star. The image with the most Facebook Likes is announced as the favorite at the end of the challenge and is showcased on both the DoDEA website and DoDEA Facebook fan page. The winner also receives a DoDEA Artist Spotlight Certificate of Achievement from Tom Brady, the director of DoDEA schools.
