City of Daleville updates closures

An updated closure list as of March 24 has been announced from Daleville City Hall

The Daleville Water Department will remain open but all payments and new service will be taken at the drive-thru only.

The magistrate's office will remain open, however all court proceedings have been cancelled until after April 16. Contact the magistrate's office to confirm your address so a new court date may be mailed to you.

At this time, there is no change to garbage pick-up.

The Daleville Senior Center remains closed as well as the Daleville Public Library. The Daleville Cultural and Convention Center is closed to the public, the recreation center is closed and all activities cancelled. Culpepper Park is now closed.

“I believe this is the best course of action right now to keep the citizens of Daleville as safe as can be,” Mayor Jayme Stayton said. “We are monitoring the situation and the actions the president, governor and CDC are making in order to make the best decisions for the citizens of Daleville. If any further changes are made, we will notify the public.”

Stayton said the Family Fun Fest set for April 1-5 has been postponed and a new date is yet to be determined.
