DHS Homecoming Parade entries sought

The Daleville High School Homecoming Parade is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 3, and organizers are asking all interested participants to contact them as soon as possible.

DHS Homecoming Parade entry forms are available at Daleville High School and Windham Elementary School, according to Angelia W. Fulford, DHS Leadership Team Chairperson and Student Government Association Advisor.

Individuals, clubs or organizations interested in participating in any of the homecoming activities—to include the parade, community pep rally or tailgating—can also contact Fulford at fulforda@daleville.k12.al.us or (334) 598-4461.

The theme of this year’s homecoming week, which is from Sept. 30 through Oct. 4, is “The City of Stars,” Fulford said.

The parade is set for 5:30 p.m. Oct. 3 and a community pep rally will follow immediately in front of DHS.

On Friday, Oct. 4, tailgating is from 4:30 to 6 p.m. on the DHS Band Practice Field.

Coronation of the DHS Homecoming Court is at 6:30 p.m. at Warhawk Stadium followed by the Daleville High School Warhawks versus the Cottonwood High School Bears football game at 7 p.m.

The Homecoming Dance is after the football game.

Fulford said that the themes for the school dress up days which begin Monday, Sept. 30, are Instagram Stars (Meme Day) for Monday, Movie Stars for Tuesday, All-Star Sports Day for Wednesday, Stars of the Decades for Thursday and Hawks of Fame on Friday.
