New members inducted to Junior Beta Club

Twenty-three new members were inducted into the Daleville High School Junior Beta Club during a ceremony held on Wednesday, March 6.

Officers for the Junior Beta Club are President Haley Jones, Vice President Katie Harry, Secretary Nona Strand, Treasurer Chase Horne, New Member Chairman Kylee Smith Community Service Chairman Nevaeh Pettway.

The National Beta Club is “the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America” according to the organization’s website.

At Daleville High School, students are chosen for membership during the fall semester. “Academic eligibility is based on the student's academic average from the previous school year,” the school’s website states. “However, membership also requires that each student display the beta ideals of scholarship, leadership, service, and characters at all times.

“Beta club encourages the growth of the whole student.”
