Evacuees to be admitted free to Dale County Schools' football games

Anyone showing a Florida identification card is invited to attend the Dale County Schools’ football games Friday, Sept. 8, for free.

“Dale County Schools would like to show our support for families from Florida that have been displaced due to Hurricane Irma,” said Dale County Schools Superintendent Ben Baker. “All three Dale County high schools have home football games tonight.

“To show our support for the Florida families that have had to leave their homes and come to our area to stay with family, with friends or in local hotels we would like to invite you to a high school football game tonight free of charge,” Baker said. “You will be our special guest.”

Anyone showing a Florida ID will be allowed free admittance to the football games at Dale County High School, Ariton High School or GW Long High School. All games begin at 7 p.m.
