Daleville senior linebacker Gabe Gordon has received a pair of football scholarship offers recently.

The senior received offers from both Iowa Wesleyan University and Texas Wesleyan University after a senior season that saw Gordon receive Elite 11 Honorable Mention after recording 75 tackles, five tackles-for-loss, one interception and three forced fumbles.

“It was the greatest feeling in the world,” Gordon said of receiving the scholarship offers. “I’ve always been an underrated player, so for someone to take a chance on me is a dream come true.”

Gordon is also a star in the classroom and has received more than $40,000 in academic scholarships during his senior season.

“I’m looking for a school that matches my academic needs for a career that I want to pursue,” Gordon said. “My goals are to graduate and just do the best I can.”

Gordon said that along with playing football, he will likely look to become a teacher and a coach in the future.
