According to a news release received from the post public affairs office Sunday afternoon, all Department of the Army Civilian employees on Fort Rucker will be placed on administrative leave and not report for work Monday, Sept. 11, due to Hurricane Irma. Key and Essential personnel will report for duty.

All contract employees will not report, as their government oversight will not be present at Fort Rucker. Military personnel should check with their individual chain of command for further guidance.

Fort Rucker Officials anticipate all training to resume on Tuesday, Sept. 12, unless otherwise directed by the USAACE and Fort Rucker Chain of Command.

Based on the administrative leave for all DA civilians, school closures and local cities curfew, Lyster Army Health Clinic and the VA Clinic will be closed on Monday, Sept.11. Officials anticipate Lyster and the VA will resume normal operations on Tuesday, Sept. 12.
