Todd Reynolds will serve as head basketball coach for the Daleville Warhawks for the first time this season.

Daleville High School basketball will tip off the 2020-2021 season later this month in the school’s return to Class 3A.

The Warhawks were last in Class 3A in 2017 and won an area championship six straight seasons from 2011 through 2016. The Lady Hawks also won four straight area championships from 2012 through 2015. Daleville will play the 2020-2021 season in Class 3A, Area 3 alongside Houston Academy, Providence Christian, Slocomb and Wicksburg.

The Warhawks will start their first season under new head coach Todd Reynolds with a road matchup against Goshen on Dec. 1. The Lady Hawks also play Goshen on Dec. 1 on the road.

Both the Warhawks and Lady Hawks travel to Geneva on Dec. 3 and then host Rehobeth on Dec. 4.

The Warhawks and Lady Hawks travel to Hartford on Dec. 8 to face Geneva County before the Warhawks host the annual Daleville Christmas Tournament on Dec. 10-12. This year’s tournament will also feature Enterprise, Pike County, Wicksburg, Carroll, Geneva County, Dale County and Headland.

Both the boys and girls travel to Headland on Dec. 15 and then host Cottonwood on Dec. 17. Area play begins on Dec. 21 as the Warhawks and Lady Hawks travel to Wicksburg. Both the girls and boys host Carroll in a non-area game on Dec. 22, as well.

Both the Warhawks and Lady Hawks will open the 2021 portion of the schedule with three home games against Goshen on Jan. 4, an area game with Wicksburg on Jan. 7 and Geneva on Jan. 1.

The boys and girls travel to Ozark to face Carroll on Jan. 12 and then host Slocomb for an area matchup on Jan. 14. Daleville travels to Pike County on Jan. 16 and Cottonwood on Jan. 18 before hosting Providence Christian for area games on Jan. 21.

The Warhawks and Lady Hawks will head to Midland City on Jan. 23 to face Dale County and then host Houston Academy on Senior Night on Jan. 25.

Daleville then hits the road for three straight area games against Slocomb on Jan. 26, Providence Christian on Jan. 26 and Houston Academy on Feb. 2.

The 2020-2021 regular season will come to a close as both the Warhawks and Lady Hawks face Florala on the campus of Enterprise State Community College on Feb. 5. Area tournaments begin Feb. 8.
