Hybrid Pro

Hybrid Pro Wrestling’s debut event in Daleville occurred earlier this month and the promotion is already getting to return on Aug. 3 at “Battle for the Gold.”

The headlining attraction will be a special Battle Royal with the Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Championship on the line.

This unique match will pit more than a dozen wrestlers of all shapes, sizes, styles and possibly even genders battling it out to see who will be crowned the first ever Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Champion.

To be eliminated from the match a wrestler must be thrown over the top rope to the floor and then when the match is whittled down to three competitors, the rules change to a Triple Threat Match. The first wrestler to then earn a pinfall or submission will be crowned champion.

The Hybrid Pro Heavyweight Championship won’t be the only title on the line at “Battle for the Gold,” however. The Allied Independent Wrestling Federation’s Southern Junior Heavyweight Champion “The Anointed One” Logan Stevens will defend his title against a mystery opponent in his debut for the promotion.

The AIWF is a nationally based organization with connections to independent wrestling promotions all over the United States. Stevens is a Georgia based wrestler that won his championship in May at an event in Pavo, Ga.

In tag team action the debuting Sick City Saints will do battle with Bred for War!

Other stars confirmed for the event are National Hybrid Champion Cali Man, T-Bird, Stunt Marshall of the H8 Club, Alejandro Bravo, Dark Rage and Slingshot Shaddox.

“Battle for the Gold” takes place Aug. 3 at the VFW Post 6020 in Daleville. Tickets are $10 at the door with children aged 5-10 $5. Children under four are free. The doors open at 6 p.m. and the event is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m.
