Lockers, buses and whiteboards were used once again on Monday, Aug. 5, as the new school year began for students at Daleville City Schools.

Before the first day of school, students spent the week meeting their teachers and the faculty and staff at each school, planning their schedules, finding their lockers, bringing supplies to school and more.

The teachers spent the summer training, with many new faces, both students and teachers, joining the Warhawk and WES families.

Elementary school students had a "great day at Windham," with several new students, from Pre-K to sixth grade, walking the school's halls for the first time.

New features may also be seen at WES, such as flexible seating for third graders and new safety entrances in the hallways of the school.

At Daleville High School, the Class of 2020 celebrated their last first day of high school, and other students learned their way around the grounds.

Schedules were adjusted, classrooms were found and morning class times started once again.
