Daleville City Police Chief Allen Medley announced the addition of a new ambulance and rescue golf cart as well as two new rooms built inside the rescue bay to provide a place for rest while on duty.

“I would like to first thank the Rescue Board for the help or the purchase of the new ambulance and rescue golf cart, along with the two dorm style rooms built inside the rescue bay to allow members to get some rest while being on call,” Medley said. “The rooms also help allow for a faster response time to the citizens of Daleville."

“Since I took over as chief my goal has to been to better serve the citizens of Daleville with good equipment and good personnel. I also want to thank Operation Chief Grubbs. “He has worked hard and continues to work hard to make Daleville Rescue a great place to work and provide the best coverage for the citizens of Daleville,” Medley said.

Medley said the city is looking for EMT'S and drivers. Anyone interested in becoming an EMT should talk with Medley and Grubbs about joining the team.
