Bob Phillips, RN, BSN, MSM, was recently named Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) at Medical Center Enterprise.
Phillips comes to MCE from Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, where he served as an Assistant CNO.
During that time, he played an instrumental role in nursing leadership, including the development & mentoring of clinical nurse leaders as well as the establishment of several new clinical services.
At Crestview, Phillips has had responsibility for Critical Care, Emergency, Cardiac/Vascular, Neurosciences, Oncology, Palliative Care and Behavioral Health services.
Phillips served as the chairperson of the Emergency Management Committee at Crestwood and he has also served on the boards of the Huntsville Emergency Medical Service, Hospice Family Care, the American Association of Critical Care Nurses and the North Alabama Trauma System.
Phillips volunteers with the Unsheltered International Missions organization and has worked with the Metropolitan Medical Response System of Huntsville and Madison counties.
Prior to working at Crestwood, Phillips worked in several other hospitals in Emergency and Critical Care departments, and has additional experience in Chemotherapy and Home Health.
Phillips has a bachelor’s Degree in nursing from the University of Alabama at Huntsville and a master’s degree in Management from Florida Technical University.
Phillips has also served in the United States Air Force on active duty and as a reservist.
