Addison and Melissa Parker Paul, owners of Yancey Parker’s, were determined to leave a legacy of support to wounded veterans by providing a generous donation to the Enterprise Lions Club Handicap Accessible Cabin Project in memory of Melissa’s parents, Yancey and Evelyn Parker. “I have given to wounded warrior programs nationally, how could I not when there is a need right here in Fort Rucker, Alabama” said Melissa Parker Paul. A donation station has been placed at their store. Every dollar donated will go to building the American Disabilities Act compliant lodging that injured and ill veterans and their families need. Once the cabin is completed, it will be donated to Fort Rucker MWR. Those wishing to donate in support of the WWVC initiative to build the modern, handicap accessible cabin at Fort Rucker’s Lake Tholocco can go to thewwvc.com or stop at any Community Bank and Trust branch and make a tax deductible contribution to Fort Rucker Handicap Cabin. If mailing is preferred, make a check payable to Enterprise Lions Club Foundation – Attn: Handicap Cabin, P.O. Box 310598 Enterprise, AL 36331. Business owners willing to have a donation box at their business should call Jenna Adaway at (334) 417-0404. On hand for the donation were, from left, Chris Jones, Addison Paul, Contrad Stempel, Melissa Parker Paul, Chuck Seitz and Doug Allgood.
